Camcorder Video

How do I keep the date/time display when I transfer Jvc Camcorder video to DVD?
I have a JVC 20GB Harddisk Drive Camcorder. When I watch the video on the camera the date and time are displayed. When I burn the video to DVD it isn't there. Help! I have lots of precious video from my child's first year of life and I want it stored properly. Thanks!
Hard drive camcorders record in MPEG-2, which doesn't include a date / time stamp. Your camcorder's recording the information in a separate file with a .moi extension, so it's not available when you edit your video / author your DVD.
The link's to an app which can rename your .mod files according to the .moi info, but you'll probably need to add the information to your video by hand, using an editor. Alternatively, look at subtitling apps and add the timestamp info that way.
