Infolithium Battery
Is there a trick to getting compatible batteries to work with the Sony Dcr-HC46 or Sony cameras in general?
I have purchased this battery (http://www.digi-quick.co.uk/product.php?productid=48&cat=0&page=1) which is quoted to be compatible with my DCR-HC46, but when I start up the camera it works briefly then says "please use InfoLithium battery".
I have a Sony Camera, and I think its a ploy for you to buy their battery, but it works.
On 2 regular double AA batteries that camera would last for 10 minutes tops.
I bought the infolithium ( made by sony), and well now it runs for about 2 hours straight, with flash, and the view screen running.
The other bonus is that I bought the infoLithium about 4 years ago, and it still works just fine.
Advice: Break out a few extra dollars, and buy/order the Sony Infolithium Battery, all of your problems should cease.
