what is the best charging method for Kodak Rechargeable Batteries?

i am doing a science fair project and i need to know the best charging method for Kodak Rechargeable batteries!

NEVER ALLOW A BATTERY TO GO COMPLETELY DEAD - NEVER ALLOW A BATTERY TO GO COMPLETELY DEAD.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES DO NOT HAVE A POLARITY, THEY ARE SECONDARY - STORAGE CELLS, AND IF YOU ALLOW A RECHARGEBALE TO GO COMPLETELY DEAD, THE BATTERY CAN AND MOST LIKELY WILL, REVERSE THE CHARGE AND NOW THE BATTERY IS USELESS. NEVER ALLOW A RECHARGEABLE TO GO COMPLETELY DEAD.

There are two charging methods, constant current and constant voltage.
Constant current is the most common of the cheap chargers, In a constant current charger, there is a current limiter and the supply voltage CAN be as high as line voltage.

Constant voltage chargers are the higher end smart chargers. They apply a voltage that is greater than the battery fully charged voltage. This allows the battery to draw as much current as needed and when the battery tops off, it no longer draws current and begins to "float"

A programable IC is used to monitor the battery condition.

I would suggest a book. The ARRL Handbook. It has a great section on batteries, chargers, solar power, written for radio amateurs, but is a great resource for anyone that wants factual information.
