Presidian PDR-3222- Machine freezes after timer recordings and problems with playback?
I have a Presidian PDR-3222, When I first hooked it up, it worked fine. Now, 3 weeks later, everytime I record something on the timer setting, it freezes. The program will record, but when I turn the tv back on, the image is frozen on the last image that was recorded. I cannot turn the DVD-R back on, neither manually nor with remote. I have to unplug the machine from the power source (usually I just jiggle the electrical cord on the back of the machine until I see the current tv image), and then the machine works.
Also, after I record something on a Staples DVD-RW, the image pauses and I have to FFWD then immediately hit play, and the recorded material starts to play again. I have to do this an average of 20 times to see an hour show. It is very annoying to say the least.
I did not purchase additonal warranty, and the machine is more than 90 days from original date of purchase.
You have a defective unit. Take back to Radio Shack and geta different kind.
